In a global first, the tourism authority offers visitors peace of mind, with complimentary extended stays and medical treatments for those testing positive for Covid-19 upon departure.*
The first safe city worldwide, as certified by both Bureau Veritas and WTTC (World Travel & Tourism Council), Ras Al Khaimah takes complete care of travellers staying at its Ras Al Khaimah hotels, including all delegates attending MICE events in the emirate.
Visitors to the Emirate who test positive for the COVID-19 virus upon departure and have booked through a Destination Management Company or tour operator will be eligible for complimentary quarantine within the comfort of their hotel room. In most cases, the quarantine will take place in the hotel where the stay was purchased from the tour operator until a negative result is obtained. The extended stay will also include meal plans per the package originally booked. In cases where travel insurance does not cover the costs of mandatory extended stay and quarantine in the case of COVID-19, costs will be covered courtesy of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
As part of its commitment to ensuring the safety of its visitors and residents, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority has also introduced cost effective return PCR testing for visitors at only AED 65. Tests are available at RAK Hospital, or RAK Medical Centre in Al Hamra Mall.
