There are many must-play golf courses in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is already well known for championship level golf courses but nearby Ras Al Khaimah is becoming a great destination for golfing. The UAE has become a hotspot for quality golf with course designed by famed architects. Here are some of the courses you must check out the next time you are in the region.

Al Hamra Golf Club

The Al Hamra Golf Club is on the northernmost point of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), offering memorable, beautiful views. This 18-hole, Par 72 championship golf course includes four open-water lagoons.

Al Hamra Golf Club also offers a unique floodlit golf experience to accommodate the region’s shorter daylight hours. Tee off every Thursday at 7:15 pm under a brand-new set of LED floodlights for a golf experience unlike anything else. After spending the day on the green, check out the Bay Sports Bar for delicious drinks and appetizers.

Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

The Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is an 18-hole riverside course located on the Dubai Creek grounds. The club offers access to four golf clubs, which include a Par 3 academy course, mini golf, a swing catalyst, and an 18-hole, Par 72 championship course.

The championship course is made up of over 7,000 yards of land with artificial lakes and lush, green terrain. Easily book your tee time at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club online for an easier experience.

Tower Links Golf Club

The Tower Links Golf Club is located in central Ras Al Khaimah and is one of the most natural golf courses in the region. The mangrove reserve, sandy waste areas, and beautiful course topography make this a challenging yet memorable course. The 18-hole golf course is Par 72 and extends over 65 kilometers with beachfront views and desert plains.

Two practice putting greens and a short game area are also available at Tower Links Golf Club to accommodate most golfers. Then, head over to the Bunker Lounge afterward to enjoy your favorite sports. Filled with big screen TVs on every wall, you’ll never miss the action at Tower Links Golf Club.

Al Zorah Golf Club

The Al Zorah Golf Club is a top-rated course located in Ajman, UAE. The course itself was designed by Nicklaus Design, which 18-time champion Jack Nicklaus heads.  The 18-hole championship course layout includes flowing dunes, mangrove areas, and pristine green grounds.

Al Zorah also offers two well-maintained teed driving ranges to perfect your game. In addition, Al Zorah can completely customize your golf outing.  Easily plan by scheduling your tee time online. After spending the day improving your golf game, head to the Al Zorah dining club, which offers a fresh menu in a relaxed dining environment.

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club

Designed by Gary Player, Saadiyat Beach golf course is just 10 kilometers northeast of Abu Dhabi city center. Like Yas Links, Saadiyat Beach golf club boasts greens along the Arabian Gulf coastline. The course weaves through numerous five star beachfront hotels and its unique bunkering system provides for a fun golf experience.

Saadiyat Beach course is spread out across 300 acres so golfers can feel the freedom and space being outdoors yet being conveniently located near various luxury hotel amenities and dining options. Every year the Gary Player hosted Saadiyat Beach Classic is hosted at the course. If you are looking for a terrific golf option close to the city center but surrounded by the sea, Saadiyat Beach should be on your list.

Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club

The Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club is an unforgettable experience that offers access to a shooting club and golf club, all within the same destination. This world-class country club is a nine-hole Par 72 course.

Fully flood lights surrounding the course also allow golfers to play late into the evening. Make sure you also check out the state-of-the-art sports complex located on-site. It offers access to a large outdoor pool, basketball and tennis courts, and a paintball arena.

Jumeirah Golf Estates ClubHouse

The Jumeirah Golf Estates ClubHouse offers access to two beautiful courses: The Earth Course and the Fire Course. The Earth Course is the host site of the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai. The course features rolling terrain and rushing waterfalls. The variation of angles makes this an entertaining course.

The Fire Course offers balance and harmony to the Earth Course. This course is challenging yet rewarding. You’ll also find the Crafty Fox Gastropub & Sports Bar and Bussola on site, perfect for fueling up before or after a day spent golfing. Make sure you also check out the pro shop to stock up on all your golf gear.

Yas Links

Famed architect Yas Phillips designed Kingsbarns on the Fife coast. He designed Yas Links on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi in a similar majestic layout. Yas Links has stunning views of the ocean with a constant sea breeze flowing through the complex greens and fairways.

The golf course offers a mix of modern and traditional beauty and has teeing options from 5,800 to 7,450 yards that both novices and experienced players can enjoy. Yas Links makes booking tee times easy through their online booking portal. If you are looking for a reprieve from the heat, book your next golf game at Yas Links by the sea.

Emirates Golf Club (Faldo Course)

A short distance from Ras Al Khaimah is the Emirates Golf Club (Faldo Course). This course recently reopened to visitors with a new and improved course. Locals often referred to as “The Wadi,” the Emirates Golf Club offers stunning landscape views. A natural wadi runs the full length of the course without interfering with your golf game.

There are three courses on-site at the Emirates Golf Club: the Majlis Course, the Faldo Course, and the Par 3 Academy Course. The online booking process is simple, making this a convenient golf course to check out when you’re near Ras Al Khaimah. The on-site Al Mo dining options also provide you with the energy you need to improve your golf game.

The Els Club at Dubai Sport City

Four-time champion Ernie Els designed the Els Club At Dubai Sports City.  The 72-hole course has won many awards, including being named the Best New International Course by U.S. magazine Links. Be sure to also check out the on-site Big Easy Bar & Grille, which boasts a South African menu.

Many Emirates within the UAE like Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah have vibrant, entertaining golf courses to cater to all skill levels. Plan your next golf getaway at one of these top 10 golf courses.
