One of Ras Al Khaimah’s most popular leisure and lifestyle destinations

Showcasing modern Ras Al Khaimah at its finest, Al Marjan Island is one of the Gulf region’s most exciting and sophisticated lifestyle destinations.

Located in the heart of Ras Al Khaimah and just 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport, the emirate’s first man-made archipelago offers visitors a beach getaway experience like no other.

Comprising four coral-shaped islands, Al Marjan Island is home to world-class hotels and resorts, ultra-modern leisure facilities and stunning natural attractions including 7.8km of pristine, sandy beaches.

Ras Al Khaimah’s premier leisure destination

With 23km of spectacular waterfront and a breathtaking palm-tree-lined corniche, Al Marjan Island is one of Ras Al Khaimah’s most popular leisure and lifestyle destinations.

Fitness fanatics flock to the island to experience its dedicated running and cycling track with inspiring sea views, while those seeking a more leisurely way to explore this beautiful archipelago can opt to hire electric scooters; a fun adventure for all the family. Al Marjan Island is renowned as a UAE running hub, home of the famous RAK Half Marathon – the world’s fastest half marathon – staged annually each February.

On weekends, residents and visitors to the emirate spend time relaxing and socialising on Al Marjan Island’s corniche, making the most of everything it has to offer, from its beachfront restaurants and food trucks to lush green parks and extensive kids’ play areas.

World-class hotels and resorts

Al Marjan Island’s four islands boast some of the region’s top hotels and resorts. From the family friendly DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa, Marjan Island, with its five pools, Chuckles Kid’s Club and pirate theme park, and Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island – the world’s largest Hampton with 515 guestrooms – to the high-end and all-inclusive Rixos Bab Al Bahr, this blissful island offers something for all tastes and budgets.

Other exciting options include the stunning Marjan Island Resort & Spa, which features a private beach, three swimming pools and seven dining outlets; the beachside haven Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island, with rooms overlooking the island or the beach, six varied dining options, outdoor pools, a kids’ pool and play area and a spa; and the ultra-modern, five-star Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, with its 300-metre-long white sandy beach, three outdoor swimming pools and advanced wellness hub.

Al Marjan Island is a fast-growing destination and in 2024, lifestyle beach resort, Rove Al Marjan Island, will open its doors, promising guests a prime beach location and 441 beautifully appointed rooms. Other landmark projects currently under development include the upscale Nobu Al Marjan Island – the second Nobu-branded hotel in the UAE that will house the world-famous Japanese restaurant of the same name – and the ground-breaking, multibillion dollar Wynn Resort, a larger-than-life hotel destination by the Las Vegas-famed brand that will offer more than 1,000 guestrooms, world-class leisure and dining facilities and even the region’s first gaming facility.
