Countdown to 2025: Ras Al Khaimah’s Top New Year’s Eve Events and Deals
Although the New Year’s Eve festivities only happen for several hours, you don’t need to visit Ras Al Khaimah for…
In 1999, British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper founded Gumball 3000, an annual rally that has taken supercar enthusiasts across the globe on epic bucket-list driving adventures. The event gained notoriety, graced the pages of fashionable GQ, Esquire and Vanity Fair magazines, and was cited as one of “Cool Britannia’s” must-do events. In his very first rally, he invited his celebrity friends on a journey like no other across Europe. Joined by Kate Moss, Jamiroquai, Kylie Minogue and Johnny Knoxville, he hosted glamourous parties at luxury venues along their route.
The brand has attracted numerous licensing collaborations and official partnerships with the biggest global brands, including Nike, Intel, Sony PlayStation, Hasbro, MTV, Google and Fiat. Licensed products include watches, footwear, video games, energy drinks, toys and special edition cars.
Gumball 3000 has attracted live crowds of over one million people and online audiences of over 100 million households in 60 countries. The celebrity-packed annual events have evolved into a week-long festival of action sports and live music concerts hosted in various capital cities worldwide.
Founded in 2013, Gumball 3000 Foundation harnesses the collective power of over 5,000 alum members and their vast media output. The cause supports global youth-based projects in low-income communities, allowing underprivileged youth to realise their potential. In less than a decade, the foundation has raised over US$5 million and invested in recreation, education and infrastructure-based projects, including Project Wreckless, Laureus Sport for Good, The Skatepark Project and Football Beyond Borders. Gumball 3000 is committed to the philanthropic efforts of its commercial partners by creating and co-promoting valuable fundraising campaigns and encouraging long-term sustainable interest.
For the first time, Gumball 3000 comes to the Middle East for the very first time in November 2022. Taking place from 12-20 November, the route commences in the futuristic city of Dubai before crossing the borders into the Al Jabal Al Akhdar mountains in Oman and onto Muscat. The rally will visit Ras Al Khaimah from 16-17 November to explore the inimitable Jebel Jais mountains and attend the Global Citizen Forum. Finally, supercar enthusiasts will return to Dubai before completing the exciting Middle East adventure in the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi.
Whether you are a keen supercar aficionado or want to spot some of your favourite celebrities, Ras Al Khaimah has an action-packed programme for Gumball 3000. Throughout 16 and 17 November, you’ll witness a host of celebrities and their supercars in Ras Al Khaimah. The emirate will warmly welcome a star-studded throng of celebrities, including Maximillian ‘Mr Gumball 3000’ Cooper, Eve – the first lady of Gumball 3000, Jodie Kidd, Amir Khan, Swizz Beatz, Sir Chris Hoy, Shmee150, Sanjay Dutt and Bun B.
They’ll drive the adrenaline-inducing hairpin bends of the formidable Jebel Jais mountains in cars such as the rare Bugatti Divo, McLaren 765LT, Ferrari F8 Tributo, Mercedes AMG GT Black Series and the track version of the Porsche 911 GT3. In addition to the incredible cars participating in the Gumball 3000 iconic Jebel Jais hill climb and rally, several supercar clubs will drive some of the most exclusive cars on the planet through the emirate.
Gumball 3000 participants and celebrities will attend the Global Citizen Forum annual summit 2022, ‘The Butterfly Effect, Human Metamorphosis’ under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah at the Al Hamra International Exhibition & Convention Centre.

Speakers include Deepak Chopra, founder of the Chopra Foundation; Adam El Rafey, the youngest TEDx Speaker and future 25 under 25 global changemakers; Harley K. Dubois, co-founder of Burning Man; Vishen Lakhiani, founder of Mindvalley. The forum provides a platform for an auction, live music performances and an elaborate after-party.
