Saqr Park

The expansive Saqr Park is the community parkland in Ras Al Khaimah. It is open all year round and boasts a host of activities for everyone. His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah from 1948 to 2010, inaugurated the park in 1991.

In Arabic, Saqr means falcon. Modern-day falconry is associated with nature conservation, cultural heritage and social engagement within and amongst communities. The park celebrates the two millennia relationship between man and bird. It offers a place where neighbourhoods and people can connect and celebrate the diversity of Ras Al Khaimah. Saqr Park is one of the largest in Ras Al Khaimah and offers family-friendly attractions throughout the year.

Saqr Park Lake

The artificial lake is home to waterfalls and hugely enjoyable rentable pedal boats for your family.

Arcade and children’s play area

The arcades house a range of child-friendly games and entertainment activities for your children. There is a table tennis court, electronic games hall, electronic cars and carefully considered shops. Your kids will have hours of fun on the merry-go-round, carousel, splash ride, rollercoaster, bumper cars and the Ferris wheel.

The park is a lovely place for a picnic or a barbeque. You can seek shade under the trees and spend hours of fun-filled time with your family or friends. Head to the dedicated barbeque spot where you can fire up the grill for a sizzling feast. The park is serenely beautiful and has a laid back feel. Throughout the park, there are meandering trails suitable for children to enjoy their ride-on toys and bicycles.

Skatepark

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority constructed the skatepark in the grounds of Saqr Park. Ledges, pyramids, bowls and round rails are some of the obstacles keen skaters can navigate. The skatepark nestles within the ghaf tree reserve.
