Rixos Bab Al Bahr

Rixos Bab Al Bahr is an all-inclusive resort with 650 bedrooms and suites, all of which boast balconies and spectacular views across the languid turquoise waters of the Arabian Sea. Each of the rooms pays homage to their local surroundings with interiors in pale sands, warm bronze and soft taupes accented with shades of emerald-green. Some of the spacious suites have clever highlights that nod to mashrabiya; ancient decorative Islamic screens would afford total privacy. Large marble-clad bathrooms come with oversized rain showers.

The resort has eight restaurants and six bars to choose from. The all-day-dining restaurant Seven Heights serves an array of delicious buffet-style dishes throughout the day, including traditional Arabic and international dishes for breakfast, snacks, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Fishbone is the resort’s seafood restaurant that serves delicious mezze and freshly grilled local or imported fish. Each evening, there is plenty of entertainment with dancing shows, karaoke and live music.

The vast, beautifully manicured gardens contain four temperature-controlled swimming pools, including an adults-only infinity pool with chilled vibes and great tunes that take you from day to night. Along the beach are many all-inclusive activities such as football, beach volleyball, basketball, fitness classes and table tennis. An exciting range of water sports like kayaking, banana boating fun and parasailing are available at an additional cost. There is a kids club with enough activities to keep them busy from dawn to dusk. Kids also have access to their own pool, waterslides, and outdoor playground.

The peaceful Avitane spa has various zones where you can enjoy some all-inclusive self-care time and relax in the steam room and sauna. Avitane Spa is separated to allow modesty between men and women, and each section boasts a secluded private swimming pool. The skin-tingling ice fountain will instantly tighten your pores and leave you feeling revitalised. There is an extensive menu of pampering spa and wellness therapies, relaxing facial and body treatments, and a beauty salon.

You can explore Al Marjan’s promenade that is dotted with coffee shops, park areas with shaded benches, and the perfect walkway for cycling, a sunset stroll, jogging or running. The beaches on either side of the island give access to white sands and shallow, clear lagoons.
