Lexington Grill & Bar

Located on the ground floor of the iconic Waldorf Astoria, the warm atmosphere of a fashionable New York bar and inimitable steak house is inviting and has a moody vibe. Interiors boast deep Carnelian red marble, hammered copper and contemporary art such as sculptures created from copper woven with synthetic horse hair and oversized high-contrast black and white images of musical instruments. Choose from a comprehensive wine list of over 350 labels from the temperature-controlled cellar or enjoy nostalgic cocktails shaken or stirred by the resident mixologist. Choose the comfy bar stools or lounge on the terrace overlooking the Gulf of Arabia. There’s a happy hour each night between 5 pm and 8 pm.

Karma Kafé

Karma Kafé is a Buddha-Bar-esque experience in Ras Al Khaimah. Located on the upper floor of Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island, it has uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf. As you walk into Karma Kafé, you are welcomed by an impressive dragon that immediately sets the scene and transports you to the mysterious lands of Asia. The bar has introduced the true art of living to Ras Al Khaimah, a skillfully balanced ambience of great music, delicious food and sublime cocktails. As the sun sets over the Arabian Gulf, expect a blend of urban and oriental beats in a characterful setting. Enjoy cocktails from far-flung lands and food that melts in your mouth; chefs prepare platters of sushi, sashimi, maki rolls and Karma Kafé ‘s signature black cod.

The Shore House

Jump on the Ritz-Carlton’s complimentary private boat and head to the private shores of the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach. The Shore House celebrates the natural beauty of this exclusive setting. Enjoy light bites, local nibbles and delicious sliders as the sun dips over the Arabian Gulf and the sky turns a kaleidoscope of colours. Choose from their fine collection of hand-chosen wines, freshly squeezed juices and ice-cold cocktails such as the Lion of The Sea, bourbon, shaken with bitters, dates, passionfruit and orange. Sundowners is between 3.30 pm and 6.30 pm each night.

Belgian Beer Café

Fondly known to the locals as the BBC, the Belgian Beer Café is a fun craft beer pub-inspired bar. Located on the edge of the Al Hamra Golf Course, it’s a popular hangout for residents and visitors alike. Dark wood interiors evoke a sense of Europe, whilst the terraces afford you views of the perfectly manicured greens. Beer aficionados can choose from the beer tasting and BBC beer tasting platters to sample several house draft beers; there are beer-based cocktails and an extensive collection of gins, including Frank Sinatra’s preferred gin, Tanqueray. There are ample bar snacks, sharing boards and their signature stews, Belgian mussels and various dishes from the grill. Throughout the week, they have various promotions such as seafood madness, a fab Friday brunch and a BBQ night.

Claw BBQ

Claw is sure to be your favourite all-American bar in Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island hotel on the coral-shaped island, Al Marjan. The indoors-outdoors bar is styled around a traditional American diner with fun, nostalgic red, white and blue décor, US flags, red banquettes, fishing nets and oversized televisions to ensure you don’t miss the latest sports. For the brave-hearted, there’s even a life-sized bucking bronco bull! You’ll enjoy the endless sea views, delicious cocktails, award-winning sizzling steaks, seafood, and salads. There are all sorts of specials throughout the week, including the all-you-can-eat tacos and unlimited margaritas every Monday, ladies’ nights each Thursday and the all-American brunch on Saturday.

Moon Bar

The Moon Bar is aptly named and is an open-air rooftop bar in the heart of the desert. The mellow-vibed bar is open for sundowners until the moon shines bright in the night sky. Great tunes, delicious chilled bubbles and cocktails are served. There are scrumptious Mediterranean and Middle Eastern nibbles on the tapas-style menu, including chipirones Andaluza and Idiazabal croquettes. The Moon Bar is surrounded by nature; the unspoilt environment gives you the rare opportunity of experiencing the wilds of the desert and its undulating dunes. The Moon Bar is only open during the winter months from 5 pm to midnight.

Bread & Barrel

Bread & Barrel is the favourite local ex-pat haunt in Ras Al Khaimah. It’s a chill-vibed bar with great playlists set on Pier 1 in Al Hamra Marina. The bar has a fun café-inspired theme with home-baked bread, delicious bar bites, hearty European mains, Sunday roasts, pizzas and seriously yummy desserts. Bread & Barrel has a great selection of bottled beer and a carefully selected range of wines and spirits from around the world. There are different happenings throughout the week, including ladies, quiz and all-you-can-eat wings nights. Big screen sports are shown daily throughout the day. Enjoy the air-conditioned bar or sit outside on the family-friendly terrace under the twinkly nighttime lights and watch the bobbing boats and world go by.

The Bunker Bar

Recently refurbished, The Bunker is well known as Ras Al Khaimah’s favourite sports destination. The bar has seven large screens showing all the sought-after international sporting events, a full-size billiards table and two dart boards. For those that prefer the great outdoors, an expansive deck affords perfect views of the last nine holes of the championship golf course. Enjoy bar snacks, including their spicy shrimp or slow-cooked beef tacos, chicken wings, club sandwiches and burgers. They have various special offers throughout the week, including ladies, Pinoy, binge and steak nights. Their resident band, The Rebels and DJ Tour will keep you entertained until the early morning hours.

Camelia  

Camelia is an elegant bar and tea lounge home to a sommelier, an impressive top-shelf lineup of international spirits and over 150 of TWG’s finest loose teas. At Camelia, afternoon tea is a fancy affair with elegant sandwiches, bite-sized cakes, scones, jam and lashings of cream served with piping hot tea or crisp cold bubbles. Camelia is a peaceful lounge on the ground floor of the Waldorf Astoria with striking art and deep plum furnishings. Its extensive terrace has shaded areas and views over the hotel’s beautifully manicured gardens and the Arabian Gulf. As day turns to night, Camelia transforms into a sophisticated lounge serving an extended menu of mellow shisha and tea-inspired cocktails.

Maison Mathis

Located at the Al Hamra Golf Club, Maison Mathis has spacious dining inside and a pretty terrace with views over the lush green fairways and lagoons. Maison Mathis originates from Belgium and celebrates simple, home-cooked European cuisine. Choose from healthy juices and great coffee, Croque monsieur, crunchy salads, wraps, toasts and quiches. A must-try is their breakfast pancakes and waffles. It’s lovely café environment to enjoy a cold glass of bubbles or super-cold beer as the sun sets over the lagoons.

Boons

Boons is the latest addition to the bar offerings in Ras Al Khaimah. Located in the brand new Movenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, it’s set to be the social neighbourhood-friendly bistro on the island. There’s always something going on at Boons’, whether it’s pub quiz night, weekend live music, watching sports on the big screens, playing pool or enjoying happy hour favourites each night. Choose from deliciously cold craft beers and wines from some of the world’s most notable vineyards. Boons is ideal for kids; it has a laid-back atmosphere and provides table activities, cooking classes and a playground next door. Enjoy classic light bites throughout the day and finish off with the petit crêpes Suzette. Delicious! It’s Boons’ philosophy to eat well and laugh often.
