One of the most popular options there is the Samar trail, which also happens to be one of the longest. So, it may not be the best option if your children are prone to tantrums. However, the lower tails are dotted with plenty of rest areas should you need a break.

Be warned, it does have some steep sections but the views of the Hajar mountains from there will definitely motivate you.
This hike can be completed in three hours if going at a moderate pace. Parking is near Al Rabi Tower.
