Ras Al Khaimah Championship 2025: A Look Back on a Historic Golf Tournament
It’s the final round of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship 2025. Everybody else’s scores are in. Marcus Armitage of England…
The feel of green grass, the joy of a perfect swing, the unmistakable satisfaction of sinking a winning putt — you long to be out on the fairways once again. But instead of your usual couple of hours a day for golf, why not dedicate an entire weekend (or a few days) to your favorite sport?
A golf holiday in Ras Al Khaimah offers an excellent change in pace from your golfing routine. It’s the perfect way to do what you love and to take more time to relax.
Ras Al Khaimah is a world-class destination for leisure and business. You’ll not only find some of the best golf courses this side of the region, but you’ll also witness some spectacular sporting events.
Back in 2022, the emirate was the site of the “World Amateur Golf Championship.”
Recently, Ras Al Khaimah played host, for the fourth time, to the prestigious Ras Al Khaimah Championship, part of the “DP World Tour” (as the tournament is sponsored by Dubai-based company DP World). The DP World Tour is the leading men’s professional golf tour in Europe.
The world’s best golfers tussled on the fairways of Al Hamra Golf Club.
The reputation of Ras Al Khaimah as a top golf destination has been building up, making it one of the must-visit places for lovers of this exhilarating game.
As golf is one of the top things to do in Ras Al Khaimah, expect only the finest links where you can work on your game and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Here are two of the best courses to hit.
The golf course in Al Hamra Golf Club is the site of many high-profile events with good reason. The course is in excellent condition, and its design is just right for golfers of all levels. Whether you’re gunning for a spot on the PGA or just want to hit a few on a perfect day, Al Hamra Golf Club should be on your list for your holiday.
The par-72 18-hole golf course features four interconnected water lagoons, which merge quite perfectly with the Arabian Gulf. This stunning par 72 championship golf course covers 7,400 yards at full length and is designed with five varying tee options on each hole.
The golf club also features a floodlit driving range and practice area, along with a composite 9-hole course. Both allow you to play into the evening (or even start in the evening), so the fun doesn’t have to stop when the sun goes down.
Designed by architect Peter Harradine, the golf course is challenging as well as gorgeous.
Another plus for this popular golf course is its proximity to some of the best hotels in Ras la Khaimah: Waldorf Astoria, Sofitel Al Hamra Beach, and the Ritz-Carlton Al Hamra Beach Resort.
Another must-visit golf club in Ras Al Khaimah is the Tower Links. It opened in 2004 and is considered one of the most natural courses in the UAE, owing to its surroundings.
When you’re on the fairways, you’ll have a spectacular view of the Hajar Mountains and the terracotta dunes. Also near the golf course are the protected mangroves, which are home to multiple bird species, including the elegant pink flamingo. Your golfing experience here will definitely be memorable.
Designed by landscape architect Gerald Williams, the par 72, 7,098-yard, 18-hole course is perfect for golfers of all levels.
If your spouse or partner is not as into golf as you are, they can still come with you here and get a treatment in the club spa. Alternatively, they can head to the Bunker Lounge for a round of darts or pool.
Much like Al Hamra, the Tower Links Golf Club is also near top hotels, particularly the Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah, with 1.5 kilometers of sandy shores, the longest one in the emirate.
Championship-level golf courses are not the only places where you can enjoy the game.
When you want the little ones to partake in the game as well, head to Jais Mini Golf. Created by Al Hamra Golf Club with Troon Design and Development, it offers one of the best outdoor activities in Ras Al Khaimah.
Situated atop the magnificent Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak, this 9-hole mini golf putting course helps you to pass on your love for the game while spending time with family. A bonus, you can hone your putting skills in the most beautiful location.
The perfect holiday awaits you at your preferred Ras Al Khaimah golf club.
As a world-class destination for leisure and business trips, this emirate has the finest links and hotels to ensure you have a relaxing and spectacular getaway, whether you’re on your own or with your loved ones.
