Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve 2026: The Fireworks Show

The main event for Ras Al Khaimah’s New Year celebration is always its renowned fireworks show. Each year, it features amazing pyrotechnics and drone technology to create an incredible overhead spectacle.

The Final Countdown

Immerse yourself in the color, lights and music as you ring in 2026. Last year, a 13-minute feast for the eyes brought the story of the UAE to life via state-of-the-art technology, with 1,400 drones used to create falcons, palms and seashells, smashing two world records for aerial displays.

This year promises a 15-minute fireworks and drone display set to rousing music. While the theme and details will remain a secret until the event itself, with the show getting better and better each year, it’s bound to be a feast for the eyes and ears. RAK NYE already holds 14 Guinness World Records. Will it add another?

Best Places to Watch RAK NYE 2026

The main fireworks and drone display will illuminate the waterfront between Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra Village. Heading to Al Marjan Island will offer front-row views, as will any location on the waterfront. The Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah and Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort will both be at the heart of the action, for example.

The festival grounds (see below) will also provide fantastic views of the displays.

The Festival

Ras Al Khaimah New Year Festival is a free, day-long celebration held within designated festival grounds. You can find the festival site near Marjan Island, along the shoreline and right by Al Hamra. 

The event is suitable for the whole family, with inflatable and carnival-style fun and food trucks starting up at 2 p.m. Camping, caravan and RV access make it easy to relax into the festival vibes and make a night of it. 

The evening’s live DJ sets by DJ Bobmix and DJ Bia mean you can dance the night away to both international and Arabic hits. Star singer Shweta Sbram will join the lineup for a stunning live performance of Bollywood tunes. Music stops briefly for the midnight countdown and fireworks, then continues until 1 a.m.

Registration and Parking

Attending the festival is free, but you will need to register your vehicle in advance for parking or camping. You can do this at raknye.com

Parking will be available in three zones right by the site, and another zone will be available by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road at Exit 122. Here, you can board a complimentary shuttle service to get to and from the site. Camping will be situated in the Dhayah Zone, right by the festival.

There’s plenty more going on in Ras Al Khaimah for NYE. Another highlight is the early evening Ras Al Khaimah city center fireworks display. This year, the show will take place above the Corniche Al Qawasim at 8 p.m., making it an ideal event for families. 

Each year, Ras Al Khaimah’s hotels, resorts and campgrounds stage their own events to see in the New Year. If previous years are anything to go by, look out for rooftop parties, gala dinners, buffets, DJs, balls, barbecues and more.
