Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) manages public transport in Ras Al Khaimah. It operates five city bus routes that make getting around Ras Al Khaimah by bus convenient for residents and visitors alike.
RAKTA also runs an intercity bus service in Ras Al Khaimah to facilitate travel between Ras Al Khaimah and the other emirates. Other services include RAK Ride, which provides fast and efficient bus service to remote areas in the emirate, and an international bus service to connect Ras Al Khaimah and Oman.
Based on the vision of Ras Al Khaimah 2030 and on the expansion strategy of Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, which aims to provide sustainable transport solutions that meet society’s needs, RAKTA manages and operates the following public bus transport options in Ras Al Khaimah:
The goal is to provide a safe and integrated transport network with a reliable bus timetable and stops to ensure smooth mobility for all.
To facilitate public transport in Ras Al Khaimah, RAKTA has also launched the E-SAQR Card. It’s an e-wallet card that commuters can purchase and top up with currency to pay for internal, international, and intercity bus service in Ras Al Khaimah.
E-SAQR Cards come in three variants.
You can buy the blue E-SAQR cards inside the bus and at the main bus station of Ras Al Khaimah in Al Dhait South. The silver and gold E-SAQR cards are available at the main bus station.
The city has five RAKTA bus routes. They are the Red Line, Green Line, Blue Line, Purple Line, and Orange Line.

RAK Ride is a direct, non-stop service from Al Nakeel to Al Ghail and vice versa. A bus leaves Al Nakeel every two hours from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Meanwhile, a bus leaves Al Ghail every two hours from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
