A Ras Al Khaimah Eid Al Adha getaway wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Jebel Jais, the UAE’s tallest mountain, where you and your family can experience a range of incredible adventure activities.

At its highest point, the Jebel Jais mountain soars a remarkable 1,934 metres above sea level, meaning that even during the hottest summer months, this remarkable destination provides a relatively cool retreat for adventurers.

While Jebel Jais has long been famed for its natural wonders, in more recent years, it has been its adrenalin-pumping manmade attractions that have put it firmly on the adventure tourism map.

 

Jais Flight – the world’s longest zipline at 2.83 kilometres – is a major highlight. Starting at a height of 1,680 metres above sea level, thrill seekers are propelled off the top of Jebel Jais, flying in specially designed canopy above deep ravines, canyons and through jagged peaks at speeds of up to 100mph (160km/h). Anyone taller than 1.22 metres and weighing more than 40kg can take part, making it an ideal option for adults and teenagers.

Another exciting option is the Jais Sky Tour, which comprises of six ziplines that range from 337 metres in length to well over 1 km. Wearing a specially fitted harness, participants fly over the Hajar Mountain range traveling at an average speed of 60km/h. The entire experience takes approximately 2 hours as you navigate seven platforms connected by six ziplines.

After a day of thrilling adventure, why not kick back and relax with a refreshing drink or tasty meal at 1484 by Puro, the UAE’s highest restaurant. Situated 1,484 metres above sea level, the venue boasts an expansive outdoor terrace offering amazing views and is the perfect location to end your day.
