For the second time, Al Hamra Golf Club will host the DP World Tour between Thursday, 2 and Sunday, 5 February, 2023. Formerly known as the European Tour, the continual development of the tournaments attracts the world’s best women, men, and players with disabilities to champion golf through award-winning social media and technologies. The tour is visiting Ras Al Khaimah for the second time. DP World, the leading provider of global smart end-to-end supply chain and logistics solutions, encourages engagement and champions sustainability in golf through its Green Drive Initiative.
Al Hamra Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course, has been impeccably planned and sculpted by internationally renowned golf course architect Peter Harradine. The course is diverse, with four open water lagoons, undulating desert landscapes and perfectly manicured greens on the shores of the Arabian Gulf. The Par 72 championship golf course measures 7,325 yards. The front nine holes measure 3,578 yards, and the back nine holes measure 3,747 yards. The beautifully landscaped course rises and falls around a series of lagoons and bunkers along the beachfront.
Managed by Troon, the Al Hamra golf course ranks as one of the finest in the region. Troon strives to create extraordinary guest and member experiences through personalised service, consistency, and uncompromising attention to detail. If you are a member, take advantage of their special offers, rewards benefits or shop for world-class equipment.
For the first time, golfing enthusiasts can enter the two-tournament Pro-Ams as individuals or teams of three, which will be held on Monday, 30 January and Wednesday, 1 February. The first Pro-Am is an evening event under the state-of-the-art zero-pollution floodlights of Al Hamra Golf Course. Al Hamra Golf Club and DP World will welcome guests with gifts, on-course catering, unique prizes, a prize-giving dinner, and an overnight stay at the iconic golf-front Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. The second Pro-Am offers the same benefits and invites guests to a spectacular welcome beach party.
Amateur golfers can tee up alongside some of the best players in the world, a rare and exciting experience for any keen golfer. Tom Phillips, Head of DP World Tour Middle East, says, “We’re absolutely thrilled to be offering this exciting opportunity for fans to book their spot in the Ras Al Khaimah Championship Pro-Ams. Fans can expect a great experience on the course picking up unique insights from some of the stars of the DP World Tour, with the field set to include defending champion Nicolai Højgaard, his brother Rasmus, Ryan Fox and 2018 Ryder Cup winning Captain Thomas Bjørn”.
Entry prices start from AED 7,500 for the Monday night Pro-Am and AED 12,000 for the Wednesday Pro-Am. Golfing fans can take advantage of the free general admission for the tournament and hospitality tickets through Ticketmaster.
