Fishing in Ras Al Khaimah does not automatically pop into most anglers’ heads as a fishing destination. A top destination in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), one of the main activities visitors like to partake in is a deep sea fishing adventure.

If you are headed to Ras Al Khaimah for business or pleasure and have a few moments to enjoy the city and area, you should strongly consider taking a charter boat out for some fishing.

Here are some top charter businesses located across the UAE region.

Just Fishing Charters

Marasy, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Just Fishing Charters is an experienced charter service that promises that if the fish are biting, you will catch at least one. Sporting a 38’ Ocean Boat that can hold up to 10 anglers, the experienced crew will help you use multiple fishing techniques, including trolling, bottom fishing, drifting, jigging, and using artificial lures or live bait. You can keep what you catch.

Just Fishing offers 4 to 12-hour charter fishing adventures. You can bring your fishing gear, or you can rent rods, reels and tackle from the charter service. The charter service provides snacks and drinks, live bait, GPS, fish finder, and radar. The boat has a toilet and a live bait well.

Targeted fish include Cobia, Trevally, Spangled Emperor, Gilt-Head, and Grouper. Available fish species are dependent on the weather and season.

Adventure Sports – Adventure 3

Al Hamra Marina Yacht Club, Al Jazirah Al Hamra 29780, UAE

Adventure sports invites you to “check out the local fishery in style” and offers a full day of finesse, bottom and big game fishing, trolling, handline and jigging. Offering 2 and 4 hour daily trips, this charter targets Barracuda, Bream, Cobia, Catfish, King Mackerel and Queenfish.

The fishing platform is a 34’ Yamaha fishing boat that comfortably seats up to 12 anglers and features a toilet and ice box. Your rod, reel and tackle are included, but you need to buy a fishing license before you can fish. You can keep what you catch as long as it is legal. The charter supplies drinks for the trip, but you also can bring your own.

Proanglers Charter

Marsa Al Bateen Marina, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Proanglers Charter focuses nearshore and offshore to help locate and catch fish. While the fishing promises to be great, part of the allure of Proanglers is the boat. While most charter services have topline craft, the Proanglers boat strives to provide the best fishing platform possible and more entertainment in 39’ than any reasonable person would expect.

Kid and family-friendly, the 39’ center console boat by Ocean Waves Boat Builder is powered by two 350 HP Mercury Verado Supercharged engines. Six guests can be easily accommodated, and the boat has modern navigational tools. Additionally, the facilities include a livewell, entertainment system and ice box.

The species targeted include Great Barracuda, Cobia, Goliath Grouper, Spangled Emperor,   Golden and Bluefin Trevally, Queenfish, and more. The techniques used include trolling, drift, bottom, and fly fishing. You bring your gear and snacks, and the charter provides drinks, fishing licenses and live bait. It also provides a catch cleaning and fileting service.

Fishing Adventures

Bern Street, Al Jazirah Al Hamra, UAE

Powered by three engines, comprising over 1000 HP collectively, the 47’ boat Fishing Adventures can get you and six friends or family on the fish in a hurry. The skipper has over 2 decades of charter experience and actively promotes catch-and-release. Target fish include Mahi Mahi, Longtail Tuna, Barracuda, Snapper, Queen and Kingfish, and Grouper.

Your rods, reels and two lures are provided as is your fishing license. You can bring your own food or purchase a BBQ lunch on board. Drinks are provided. The boat has a toilet, ice box and state-of-the-art navigational tools to ensure safety throughout your trip.

Ocean Cruise – Al Rubban

Al Urouba Street, Dubai, UAE

The 39’ Al Rubban can easily accommodate 12, plus crew, which makes it ideal for large groups, although the captain recommends only six go at a time, so everyone has enough room to fish comfortably. Longer trips are recommended in the warmer months so that anglers can get out where the water is cooler, and the fish are more likely to bite.

While any fish the charter comes across is a target, this operation specializes in Kingfish, Cobia, and Barracuda. That means you will likely do a lot of trolling and jigging. The charter service provides your rod, reels, and tackle. While fishing, anglers also have a good chance of catching Goliath Groupers. Onshore, inshore, and wreck fishing are typically pursued during a typical trip.

Onboard, the charter service provides drinks, an ice box, live bait, and a toilet. Staff is available to help you fish, but you can also target species using your techniques and tackle. Customers are welcome to swim at the end of the trip before the boat heads back to shore.

The charter service offers 4, 5, and 7-hour trips. Beginners are encouraged to take 4-hour trips, while more seasoned anglers are encouraged to take longer trips.

Blue Line Fishing

Al Quffal Street, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Blue Line Fishing is more oriented toward the hardcore angler. Anglers are encouraged to let the captain know what fish you are after as the captain can recommend what technique tends to work best for the fish you want to target.

Techniques used include bottom fishing, jigging, and popping. The charter provides live bait. This service can provide you with equipment to handline.

The boat is a 36’ White Marine and can accommodate up to six people. The charter service provides you with fishing licenses. You will also be provided with snacks and drinks throughout the trip. You can keep anything you catch.
