Visit Ras Al Khaimah

This Eid Al Fitr, skip the airport and take the family somewhere that feels far from the city but is less than an hour from Dubai.

From March 19 to 22, 2026, Ras Al Khaimah gives you four days to celebrate Eid by the sea, in a historic village, high in the mountains and out in the desert, all in one place.

With family-friendly resorts, record-breaking adventures and Eid packages that take the stress out of planning, all you really need to do is choose where to stay and follow the route.

Your 4-Day Eid Al Fitr Family Itinerary at a Glance

Day 1 (Thursday): Arrival, beachfront check-in and relaxed sunset pool or beach time.

Day 2 (Friday/Eid Day): Breakfast at the hotel/resort, or the cafe at the Corniche Al Qawasim, resort downtime, then beachfront Eid brunch or dinner on Al Marjan Island.

Day 3 (Saturday): Jebel Jais adventure day with Jais Flight, Jais Sky Tour and mountain-view dining at 1484 by Puro.

Day 4 (Sunday): Desert glamping with camel rides, an Eid feast and stargazing or one last lazy morning by the sea before heading home.

Detailed 4-Day Itinerary

Kids on the beach

Day 1 (Thursday, March 19)

Travel late morning or early afternoon to avoid peak-hour traffic on the main highways. The drive from Dubai is around 45 to 60 minutes by car, depending on where you’re starting, so you’ll be in Ras Al Khaimah by mid-afternoon.

Check into a beachfront family resort and let the kids loose on the pool or beach while you decompress. Many coastal hotels, such as the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa, offer kids’ clubs, family rooms and all-day dining, making it easy to keep things relaxed on the first day.

Pro Tip: Pack swimwear, sun protection and a change of clothes in a separate bag so you can head straight to the pool or beach while the rest of your luggage is being delivered.

Think of Day 1 as your soft launch: an easy drive, an easy check-in and a sunset swim before an early night ahead of Eid.

Day 2 (Friday, March 20)

Start Eid slowly with a sunrise stroll along the beach, when the shoreline is still quiet and the morning air is cool.

Back at the resort, ease into the day with a leisurely breakfast at the scenic Al Qawasim Corniche overlooking the mangroves and flamingos. It sets the tone for a calm, unhurried Eid morning before heading out to discover more of Ras Al Khaimah.

Spend the rest of the morning enjoying the resort at your own pace, whether that means pool time, a little downtime in the room or a visit to the kids’ club while everyone resets after the early start

As the sun sets, make your way to Al Marjan Island for a beachfront Eid brunch or dinner at one of the island’s resorts, like Rixos Bab Al Bahr. This all-inclusive family favorite houses 14 restaurants and bars, offering a wide variety of cuisines to satisfy every palate.

Pro Tip: Pre-book your Eid brunch or dinner and request an outdoor table for the best possible view of the sea.

Day 3 (Saturday, March 21)

Leave after breakfast for a road trip to Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak and Ras Al Khaimah’s adventure hub. The drive from the coast takes around an hour, with plenty of spots to pull over for mountain views along the way.

Once you’re at the top, older kids and teens can take on Jais Flight, the world’s longest zipline, or the multi-zipline Jais Sky Tour, while younger children and less adventurous family members enjoy the viewing platforms and photo stops.

Break for a long lunch at 1484 by Puro, where floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace look straight out over the Hajar Mountains. Afterwards, drive back to the coast to unwind by the pool or continue straight on to your chosen desert camp if you’re changing scenery for the final night.

Pro Tip: Pre-book your Jais Flight or Jais Sky Tour slots online. Pack closed shoes and light layers, as temperatures in the mountains can be noticeably cooler than on the beach, especially in the morning and late afternoon.

Day 4 (Sunday, March 22)

Check out after breakfast and swap the sea for the desert with a short 30- to 40-minute drive inland to one of Ras Al Khaimah’s desert resorts or camps.

The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, for example, is nestled inside a protected nature reserve and is designed as a remote-feeling escape within easy reach of the coast.

Spend the afternoon easing into desert life with family-friendly activities like camel rides, nature walks and kids’ archery or falconry sessions, or opt for a more rustic camp where camel rides, sandboarding and henna are bundled into an early-evening program before dinner.

As night falls, gather for an Eid feast under the stars, from lavish buffets at luxury desert resorts to barbecue spreads at traditional-style camps. Then, let the kids burn off the last of their energy around the campfire before a final sleep in the quiet of the dunes.

If you’d rather keep things simple, you can always skip the desert and enjoy one last lazy morning by the sea before driving home.

Pro Tip: Pack light layers for cooler desert evenings, closed shoes for walking on sand, and book your desert stay or safari well in advance. Eid dates are popular and many camps and resorts sell out early.
