The Moon Bar is aptly named and is an open-air rooftop bar in the heart of the resort. The mellow-vibed bar is open for sundowners until the moon shines bright in the night sky. Great tunes, delicious chilled bubbles, shisha and cocktails are served under the stars. There are scrumptious Mediterranean and Middle Eastern nibbles on the tapas-style menu. It’s the perfect sunset bar to watch the oryx and other indigenous and protected animals within the nature reserve.
The Moon Bar is the resort’s signature rooftop bar located in the middle of the desert. The flame-coloured dunes come alive as the sun sets to the West over the various forts that pepper the landscape. Enjoy postcard-perfect sundowners as you watch the native animals wander obliviously to their watering holes. Relax into the comfy seating as your bartenders serve perfectly chilled cocktails and other refreshing drinks from the extensive menu. Enjoy tapas-inspired snacks such as baby calamari with calamari ink aioli and lime, the slightly sweet Idiazabal croquettes with Idiazabal smoked cheese and honey, or the spicy gambas al ajillo with red shrimp, garlic, chilli, EVO (extra virgin olive oil).
The Moon Bar is only open during the cooler winter months between 5 pm and midnight and should be on your bucket list. It’s ideal for intimate couples or larger groups of friends and family celebrating something special. The well-curated list of music sets the scene for a perfect night under the expansive desert skies that the Bedouins still use today to guide them unhindered across the sandy plains.
