The Moroccan-inspired Moorish restaurant has a distinctly Arabic atmosphere, warm colours, and Arabesque designs. Hand-crafted tiles and soft furnishings showcase the typical geometric patterns of the region, and the warm-hued terracotta walls give it a homely and inviting feel. Metal lanterns hang from the high ceilings and cast pretty shadows on the walls and floors. The restaurant has comfortable seating both inside and al fresco. The restaurant is open from 4 pm until midnight.
The resident mixologist has created a gloriously Middle Eastern range of spiced cocktails that you can drink at the bar, with dinner in the comfortable banquettes, or outside on the terrace. The Moorish menu is typically Arabic, and there are sharing platters for couples, families and friends. Try various flavours of shisha from the comprehensive menu.
The chefs prepare delicious starters, including the Moroccan lamb sausage with sweet pepper, tomato, onion, fresh coriander, red chilli paste and the most refined olive oil. Another firm favourite is gambas al ajillo with juicy shrimps, garlic, sweet paprika, chilli flakes and extra virgin olive oil. Main courses include the tagine barkook, slow-cooked braised lamb shank with onion, deliciously sweet prunes, honey, fried almonds, sesame seeds and couscous and the signature Moorish grill with pinchos morunos, lamb kofta, lamb cubes, lamb chops, grilled vegetables, tomato harissa and garlic sauce.
